Componentes fenólicos del polen corbicular Colombiano y su capacidad antioxidante y antirradicalaria

Resumen

El polen corbicular es un producto natural resultado de la actividad de las abejas que aglutinan los granos removidos de las anteras de las flores para el sustento de la colonia. El propósito de éste trabajo se ha centrado en la cuantificación de las fracciones fenólicas presentes en extractos hidroalcohólicos del polen de tres consociaciones biogeografías en zona cafetera y la estimación de su capacidad antioxidante y antirradicalaria. La fracción fenólica observada varia entre  (11,8 ± 2,22 y 30,6 ± 7,10) mg EAG/g, los flavonoides desde 5,67 ± 2,35 a 12,1 ± 1,13 mg Eq. Quercetina/g polen. La capacidad reductora (11,8 ± 2,22 a 30,6 ± 7,10)  y (9,00 ± 3,43 y 17,9 ±4,30) μM de Trolox/g para FRAP y ABTS respectivamente. Los resultados son reveladores de un aporte significativo de fenoles y flavonoides, en muestras de polen corbicular de zonas altoandinas colombianas, su extracción y concentración posibilita la incorporación como aditivo en suplementos alimenticios o productos farmacéuticos.
